Sideshow Collectibles

Sideshow collectibles are for me, the superior source for all your requirements in the world of action figures, busts and statues. Growing up with a love of comic books throughout the 70’s, especially Marvel Comics, I have found sideshow collectibles have a wonderful range of characters such as the ever popular Original Spiderman, black suited Spiderman and my favourite which is Venom. You will find sideshow collectible items will surpass your expectations whether you just want to buy scale model figures of your own personal favourites or go all out and purchase a life size bust.
As time went by I progressed, like a lot of you I’m sure, into a love of the movies but my preference still remained with the science fiction, horror and fantasy genre. This of course being what sideshow collectibles do best. I remember staying up late at night to watch all the old re-runs of the Universal Studios horror movies with Dracula, and the Wolfman and from that moment on I was hooked. I suppose that the classic movies that stay with me would be the likes of the original King Kong, Planet of the Apes, Star Wars and of course the one that scared the daylights out of me when I first saw it Alien. You will find some breathtaking pieces by sideshow collectibles relating to the majority of these movies and I just adore the Alien pieces. My wife on the other hand was always a big fan of the Predator franchise and I must admit that she has a pretty impressive collection of those from sideshow collectibles. At least we were both over the moon when we eventually got to see AVP on the big screen. Although my Aliens should have come out on top but hey it isn’t over yet.
Of the more recent movies that have came to the big screen from the comic book or graphic novel, and boy have there been a lot over the last few years, probably my favourite has to be Hellboy. Out of all the comic book and super hero franchises that have graced the cinemas lately Hellboy really stands out for me with its wonderfully true characters lifted out from the pages and transferred so beautifully to the movie format. The quality of the figures and busts that are available from sideshow collectibles for this franchise are amazing. There aren’t words to describe the look and the quality of these sideshow collectible items whether it is again the figures or the busts. The quality has to be seen to be believed.
Sideshow collectibles also cover the small screen and again I am drawn to sci-fi, horror and cartoons. I suppose you’d guess by now that we’d be talking Buffy, Angel, X-files and The Simpsons. You will of course find a range of figures available from sideshow collectibles on these topics. So if you have a fondness for all things from Alien to Rambo or Pirates to predators then you will find it available at sideshow collectibles.
